What is FuelMix?

Since the 18th March 2005 all electricity suppliers have been required to publish information on the mix of fuels used to generate the electricity they supply and the environmental impact of its generation. The publication of such information is a mandatory requirement of the The Electricity (Fuel Mix Disclosure) Regulations 2005.

As a minimum, each energy supplier must provide the mix of fuels used to produce the electricity it supplies in percentage terms for coal, natural gas, nuclear, and renewable. This information must be provided with other environmental information related to the CO2 emissions and levels of radioactive waste generated.
